A letter from the director of Hearts and Hands Therapy in response to the COVID-19 pendemic, and how the business is responding.
Response to Governor Kemp’s Announcement
I wanted to address Governor Kemp’s news conference Monday, March 23, 2020 and how it impacts HHTS. He recommended that we maintain a minimum 6′ distance between ourselves and others, that medically fragile children and those at high risk self quarantine and “stay put”, and in general that we stay out of public environments with 10 or more people.
We are in full support of our Governor, his recommendations, and doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Therefore we will be stopping all in-person therapy as of 12:00 noon tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Until these restrictions are lifted, the only option we will have is telehealth sessions for our patients. All in-person sessions will need to be put on hold until we are able to resume. HHTS is our family and this is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made. You all are a part of our family, and please know we are dedicated to providing the best telehealth services to your child during this time. Together we can get through this. Thank you all for being a part of our family and allowing us to be a part of yours.
Stay safe and well,
Amy and the HHTS Executive Team
